From the collaboration between PentaP srl and AMG Tools Service, Space Gem was born, an innovative punching machine capable of performing deformations and cutting on laser-cut, already folded panels. This technology allows the work cycle to be completed with a flexible , compact, efficient and extremely quick to equip solution.
Space Gem has been conceived and designed for large production batches and continuous processing , but can quickly adapt to small quantities or small “on the fly” samples.
Space Gem is characterized by four technological patents:
- “Z” index axis system with force release, capable of working on boxed parts (250 mm light)
- Mount special pliers with clamping force adjustment system
- It has a pneumatic hooking system for moving the pieces.
- Quick and tool-free matrix locking system.
Space Gem has a workforce ranging from 25T to 80T and is capable of deforming, drilling, shaping and ribbing.
It has movements along the X, Y and Z axes with index. The interpolation of these axes allows the continuous use of 360° tools .
PentaP srl has also performed numerous checks using the DEFORM software to adequately size components and structures, optimizing the machine’s performance.
The PLC programming (unique in the world for this application) is simple and intuitive . It can be performed on board the machine using a touch screen panel PC, or remotely using the dedicated software, transmitting the data directly to the processing department.
Direct import of two-dimensional CAD files (in .dwg or .dxf format) allows you to significantly reduce programming times.
